Sustainability

Our social impact

At The Clean Network, we advocate that businesses should serve as a force for good by setting clear objectives to minimise their impact on the environment and contribute positively to social change.

We try to align these goals through sustainable business practices.

Ethical procurement

We exercise the utmost care in procurement practices, including sourcing our supplies, prioritising recycled products whenever feasible.

Chemical-free cleaning

We steer clear of using harmful chemicals in our services. Instead, we opt for powerful enzyme- and plant-based cleaning products that not only ensure effective cleaning but also safeguard the environment and the wellbeing of those who come in contact with them.

Conscious sourcing

The Clean Network is committed to minimising our carbon footprint by emphasising recycling and renewable resources in our sourcing. Our paper products are either sourced from sustainable forests certified by the Forest Stewardship Council or consist of 100% recycled material.

Responsible end-of-life processes

Recognising the significance of responsible waste management, particularly in the context of the rapidly growing waste stream of electrical and electronic equipment, we aim to be fully accountable for the end-of-life processes of all our cleaning and office machines.

Encouraging sustainable travel

As part of our goal to help our staff make more environmentally friendly choices around commuting, we are currently piloting an employee benefit initiative with Cyclescheme. This provides a cost-effective way to own a bike and related accessories.

Sustainability

Our environmental policy

We recognise the importance of respecting the environment and preserving natural resources, and we're continually considering how we can leave a positive legacy for future generations. Our policy includes:

▶  Regularly reviewing and assessing suppliers to ensure the use of environmentally friendly products

▶  Purchasing cleaning products in larger batches to minimise packaging waste

▶ Sourcing recommended paper products from SCA Sweden, a company dedicated to environmental protection

▶  A commitment to complying with ISO 14001, the internationally agreed
standard for environmental
management systems

▶  Encouraging clients to recycle paper and glass: for instance, by providing waste disposal options for on-site recycling

▶  Achieving a 97% client base within a 30-mile radius of our office to reduce vehicle pollution

▶  Using environmentally conscious suppliers, with a focus on trigger sprays over aerosol cleaning agents

▶  Implementing clear recycling
processes within our office

▶  Focusing on training and daily
monitoring of our cleaning operatives to improve the environmental impact
of their working practices

Work with us - by working together with shared goals, we can help to protect the environment and identify new opportunities for improving sustainability.
